Sanwari Women Fest at Constitution Club’s Mavlankar Hall located on Rafi Marg, New Delhi


Dedicated for the upliftment of women in the country, ‘Sanwari Women Empowerment’ organised a deep-rooted thought oriented women fest with a theme ”Educate, Inspire, Empower—Let’s Change Attitude” at Constitution Club’s Mavlankar Hall located on Rafi Marg, New Delhi. The Chief Guest on the occasion was  Sushri Uma Bharti, Union Minister for Water Resources, Ganga Rejuvenation and River Development. Other Special Guests at the function were BJP National Spokesperson Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, Yashvir Dagar - National Treasurer BJP YM,  DrBhola Singh MP-Bulandshaer, Ashish Sood - Gen Secy BJP Delhi & Leader of the House-SDMC , H.E. Andre Sanra, Ambassador of Republic of Benin,  Ajay Aggrawal, Advocate Supreme Court,  Vijender Garg MLA Rajender Nagar , Shivcharan Goel, MLA Moti Nagar and Ravinder Gupta, Mayor North MCD , Aniruddha Kumar -Principal Commissioner-Income Tax, Bharat Bhushan Madan, Councillor-Motinagar, Poonam Prakash Dy Secy, CM Office-Delhi, Suraj Kumar, Councillor-InderpuriRekha Gupta, Councillor-North Pitam Pura and Kamaljeet Sehrawat, President. Traditional lighting of the lamp was done by the chief guest Sushri Uma Bharti along with Seema Goel, Founder President of Sanwari and the Managing Directors of Earth Infrastructures Ltd Avdhesh Goel, Atul Gupta, Rajnish Mittal,Vikas Gupta and their wifes.

Speaking on the occasion the Union Minister, Sushri Uma Bharti said, “Women in India have had a glorious past. Their mental strength makes up for their physical weaknesses. They have great abilities which make them strong.” Commenting on the theme of the function Educate, Inspire and Empower the minister said, “Women in this country had a great history. First of all we need to ensure that all women are given proper education. Empowerment will automatically follow.” 


Praising the efforts of the ‘Sanwari Women Empowerment’, the BJP National Spokesperson Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi said, “Sanwari’s dedication is worth many praises.” She further said, “Woman was never weak and never will be… Education is the most appropriate tool to empower the women and help them attain the same status in the society as it used to be in Vedic Period.”

The programme began with an auspicious Ganesh Vandana performed by the renowned dancer, actor and a fighting spirit, Sudha Chandran. This was followed by the thought provoking speeches by FM RJ & Newsreader Lalima Aneja Dang, Writer-Critic Anshu Pathak, Mrs India Queen 2013 Ruby Yadav and Educator-Poetess Renu Shahnawaz Hussain. 









Electrifying performances by Sudha Chandran and thrilling dance-drama ‘Khub Ladi Mardani-Rani LaxmiBai’ by renowned dancer Mrinalini kept the audiencespell-bound. 
































In her closing remarks Seema Goel, Founding President of Sanwari Women Empowerment said, “A healthy nation can never be a reality till the time its women are healthy and empowered. We continue working for the cause and I invite each and everyone of you to join the movement.”
